In 2021, I was commissioned by the Japan Patent Office — an agency of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry — to create the complete illustration system for their official public tour website.
The project required building a cohesive visual world from scratch: an isometric cross-section of the JPO headquarters building, detailed floor-by-floor scenes populated with over 50 characters in varied poses, a guide character system with multiple expressions and poses, and a set of 20+ isometric icons representing patent-eligible inventions — robots, DNA strands, microscopes, kitchen appliances, vehicles, and more.
All artwork was delivered as fully layered Adobe Illustrator files, animation-ready for web implementation, with a consistent perspective grid, color palette, and line weight maintained across hundreds of individual elements.
